ALOO TIKKI

                                                     ALOO TIKKI

Aloo Tikki is a popular Indian street food made with boiled potatoes and spices. Here's a simple recipe to make Aloo Tikki:

Ingredients:

- 4 large potatoes, boiled, peeled, and mashed
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped (adjust according to taste)
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala (optional)
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- Cooking oil for frying

Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, bread crumbs, chopped onion, chopped green chilies, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala (if using), salt, and chopped fresh coriander leaves. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

2. Divide the potato mixture into equal-sized portions and shape each portion into a round, flat patty or tikki.

3. Heat cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat.

4. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the potato patties into the hot oil, ensuring they are not overcrowded in the pan.

5. Fry the aloo tikkis until they are golden brown and crispy on both sides, flipping them halfway through the cooking process to ensure even browning.

6. Once cooked, remove the aloo tikkis from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

7. Serve the aloo tikkis hot with your favorite chutney, such as mint chutney or tamarind chutney, along with some yogurt and chaat masala sprinkled on top, if desired.

8. Enjoy your homemade aloo tikkis as a delicious snack or appetizer!

Feel free to adjust the spices and seasonings according to your taste preferences. You can also add other ingredients such as boiled peas or paneer for variation.
