CAP CAKES
Here's a simple recipe to make classic cupcakes:
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, using a hand mixer or a stand mixer.
4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.
8. Remove the cupcakes from the oven and allow them to cool in the muffin tin for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely before frosting.
9. Once cooled, frost the cupcakes with your favorite frosting, such as buttercream frosting or cream cheese frosting.
10. Optionally, you can decorate the cupcakes with sprinkles, chocolate chips, or other toppings of your choice.
Enjoy your homemade cupcakes!
