 KABAB

Chapli Kabab is a traditional Pakistani dish known for its rich flavor and unique spices. Here's a basic recipe to make Chapli Kabab:

Ingredients:

- 500g minced meat (beef or mutton)
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons coriander seeds, crushed
- 1 tablespoon cumin seeds, crushed
- 1 tablespoon red chili flakes
- 1 tablespoon dried pomegranate seeds (anardana), crushed
- 1 tablespoon dried coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 2-3 green chilies, finely chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
- Cooking oil, for frying

Instructions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced meat, chopped onion, chopped tomatoes, egg, crushed coriander seeds, crushed cumin seeds, red chili flakes, crushed dried pomegranate seeds, dried coriander leaves, ginger paste, garlic paste, chopped green chilies, salt, fresh coriander leaves, and fresh mint leaves. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

2. Once the mixture is well combined, cover it and let it rest in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes. This helps the flavors to meld together.

3. After 30 minutes, take the mixture out of the refrigerator and divide it into equal portions. Take each portion and shape it into a flat round kabab.

4. Heat some cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the shaped kababs in the pan, ensuring they are not overcrowded.

5. Fry the kababs for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are golden brown and cooked through.

6. Once cooked, remove the kababs from the pan and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

7. Serve the Chapli Kababs hot with naan bread, salad, and chutney.

Enjoy your homemade Chapli Kababs!
